What is Palm Sunday?

I felt compelled to share what I kno about the "Palm Sunday" as I realized that people do have a number of question marks about what it is.

The Sunday right before the Easter Sunday is called to be the Palm Sunday. It is also known as "Branch Sunday".

So what is special about it?

As one can perceive from the name as well, it has something to do with palms and branches. During the Sunday Service on "Palm Sunday", crossed palms, palm branches are handed out to the visitors of the church.

As Jesus was riding into the Jarusalem on a donkey, people were laying their coats and palm leaves and branches on his way. This is a symbol how people valued Jesus. Each year on Palm Sunday, people commemorate this event and they show via palm crosses that they are paying respects to Jesus.

Not satisfied? Then do not hesitate to Google it further:
