Fuzuli - Leyla & Mecnun

Fuzuli, poet of the inconceivable verses...
He is reminding me of quill pens, where this great pen was creating crystalline stiches of abyss deepness. Furthermore his art (of Divan epoch) was doubled, triplicated as he wrote in Persian and Arabic besides ottoman (=Turkish). The world-wide known book of him, Divan is a compilation of poems and such a bedside book to be read a life-time.

Lemme copy here down a gazel from him. This one asnishes me each time I read with the language usage, with the sufistic feeling and passion of -any kind'a- love in it.

yâ rab belâ-yı aşk ile kıl âşinâ beni,
bir dem belâ-yı aşktan etme cüdâ beni,

az eyleme inayetini ehli derdden
yani ki çok belalara kıl mübtela beni

oldukça ben götürme beladan iradetim
ben isterim belayı çü ister bela beni

gittikçe hüsnün eyle ziyade nigarımın
geldikçe derdine beter et muptela beni

eyle zaîf kıl tenimi fürkatinde kim
vaslına mümkin ola yetirmek sabâ beni

nahvet kılıp nasib fuzuli gibi bana
ya rab mukayyed eyleme mutlak bana beni
